No Personal Data Collection
83K Screen Colors (83k.net) collects zero personal data. 83K requires no account, no registration, and no login. 83K does not ask for your name, email address, or any personal information at any point.
What 83K Stores and Where
83K saves your color preferences and display configuration settings to your browser's local storage on your own device. Local storage is a browser-native feature that keeps data entirely on your device, separate from any network communication. The specific values 83K stores in local storage include your selected screen color, your color mode selection (solid or gradient), your gradient color settings and angle, your interface timing and visibility preferences, your light effect auto-stop configuration, and your fallback color. Every one of these values resides exclusively within your browser on your own device.
Your 83K settings stored in one browser remain in that browser. Settings do not appear in another browser, on another device, or in any 83K server system. Clearing your browser's local storage erases all stored 83K preferences from that browser.
Cookies and Tracking
83K places no cookies on your device. 83K runs no tracking scripts, places no tracking pixels, and places no advertising tracking tags. 83K does not build visitor profiles or collect behavioral data of any kind.
Screen Color Rendering
All color rendering, gradient calculation, light effect animation, and interface interaction within 83K happen locally inside your browser through client-side JavaScript. When you select a color, apply a gradient, or activate a light effect, your browser performs the computation and renders the result directly. Your color selections stay on your device.
When you use the PNG download feature, 83K generates the image file locally within your browser using the HTML Canvas API. The generated PNG file saves directly from your browser to your device's storage. When you use the CSS copy feature, 83K places the CSS text onto your device's clipboard. Both export operations complete entirely within your browser.
Third-Party Resources
83K loads certain interface frameworks and stylesheets from third-party content delivery networks. When your browser retrieves these resources, the hosting servers receive standard connection information as part of each request. Third-party content delivery providers operate under their own respective privacy policies. Loading resources from content delivery networks is standard practice across the web.
Server Logs
83K's web servers record certain technical details during standard operation, including the IP address of the requesting device, the requested URL path, the timestamp of the request, and the browser type. Server logs contain technical request data. Your color selections, gradient settings, light effect activations, and interface interactions are entirely client-side and absent from server logs.
Internet Infrastructure
Visiting any website involves standard internet routing. Your internet service provider, DNS resolver, and network infrastructure operators can observe that a connection was made to 83k.net. This applies to every website on the internet and is outside 83K's control. 83K uses encrypted HTTPS connections, which protect the content of data transfers between your browser and 83K's server.
